Sohom Chatterjee, Ph.D.

I am currently working as a Research Engineer in the Enterprise Optimization lab at GE Aerospace Research. In May 2024, I completed my PhD in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Operations Research, from the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department in Texas A&M University. I am interested in the applications of large-scale discrete optimization problems, with experience in healthcare and supply chain.

  • Developed decision support tool for forecasting, simulating and optimizing flow of trains and locomotives in a time-space railway network of 1700 stations across a 7-day planning horizon.
  • Simulation algorithm implemented in Java, Data handling using SQL, Python and Excel, Interactive visualization interface designed in Tableau.
